What should you do with all that old stuff that you don't use that is just laying around the house?  Clothes that don't fit your family anymore or clothes you just don't want anymore, electronics that you don't use because you have upgrading with newer items etc.

Sure, you can have a garage sale and make some money.  There are a few problems with that.  The first is that it is so dang much work.  I have run them before and in my experience, it just isn't worth it. 

You have to locate everything and bring it down to your garage, you then have to put a price on every single item.  Then you have to arrange all of the items and set up a date for the garage sale.  Then you have to be there for the days, in order to, sell the items, it usually lasts all weekend.

Then what is the guarantee?  What if nobody shows up?  What if you simply don't sell much of anything?  Even if you end up selling some things, you probably won't make a huge amount.  Time is money and I don't think that all of that time that you would put in would be worth it.

There is another thing that you can do and this option will make you feel good because you're helping other people and it will take you a fraction of the time.  The option that I'm talking about is donating household items, in order to, raise money for charity.  One of the best feelings that a person can get is when they help someone else in need.  Donating your household items to raise money for charity does just that.

The great thing is that you don't have to pay any money out of your own pocket.  You also just get rid of stuff that might just be collecting dusk and cluttering up your house.  It might be stuff that you're just going to throw out anyways, you might as well put it to use. 

So what are you waiting for?  It is something that you can do right now and really make a difference in a lot of people's lives.  Go out and raise money for charity.  Clean out those closets, attic, basement and garage and do something truly wonderful!
